You didn’t believe that piece of liberty from last week was the only fabric I purchased in Japan, did you? Perish the thought. 🙂Â
Here’s the rest of my haul, this all from Tomato fabric in Tokyo. first up: blue and mustard camo!
Â
This is a truly good weight, and the blue is a bit darker — not as teal as in this picture (not that teal is a bad thing).Â
I’m not a big Kokka fan but this print was just irresistable:
Â
(I’ve been truly drawn to that mustard color lately. I like it with red, so interesting!)
Another lovable conversation print (this is a good heavy weight):Â
Â
There was also some plaid corduroy, so I purchased it. Wouldn’t you?
Â
I also purchased a single lawn of this crazy super-narrow number fabric:
Â
I forget who the designer is, but I saw it first made up into scarves in a department store in Japantown here in San Francisco, and liked it. but not enough to spend whatever the department store wanted, obviously. I most likely ought to have purchased two yards, because what the heck am I going to finish with a lawn of 22″ broad fabric, I don’t know. (It was still expensive even in Japan!) but I’ll believe of something …
Just looking whatsoever these makes me want to jump up and begin cutting things out, but it will most likely be a few weeks up until I have a bit area remove for making these up. recommendations welcome!
